Providence Men's Basketball to Face Baylor in First Round of Anaheim Classic

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The pairings for the 2008 Anaheim Classic were announced on August 4. The Providence College men's basketball team will play the first of its three games of the Classic versus Baylor University at 11:30 p.m. EST on ESPN 2 on Thursday, November 27. All games at the Classic will be played at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif. It will mark the first time that the Friars will play the Baylor Bears.

The other games on the first day of the Classic are St. Mary's vs. UTEP (2:00 p.m. EST, ESPNU), Wake Forest vs. Cal State Fullerton (4:30 p.m. EST, ESPN 2), and Arizona State vs. Charlotte (9:00 p.m. EST, ESPNU). The Friars will play Arizona State or Charlotte in their second game of the Classic on Friday, November 28. The Friars' third and final game of the Anaheim Classic will be played on Sunday, November 30.

All games at the Anaheim Classic will be televised live on ESPNU or ESPN 2.
