Former Soul WR Larry Brackins Returns to Philly With New York Jets
PHILADELPHIA (Wednesday, August 27, 2008) – Former Soul wide receiver and recent New York Jets acquisition Larry Brackins returns to Philadelphia on Thursday August 28. The Jets travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in the teams’ final pre-season game. The game will be broadcast on 6ABC and can be heard on 94 WYSP and 610 WIP. Brackins, a part of the 2008 ArenaBowl XXII Championship team, was signed by the Jets back on August 19. The Soul celebrated their fifth anniversary this season with a 59-56 win over the San Jose SaberCats in Virgin Mobile ArenaBowl XXII. The Soul drew a total of 131,817 fans this season, their largest number since their inaugural season of 2004. The Soul sold out four games in the 2008 season and averaged 16,477 fans per game.
