Adrian Peterson Provides Family Fun at Foundation Fundraising Event

WHAT: Chicago Bears’ running back Adrian Peterson will host a fall festival to benefit the Adrian Peterson Foundation of the Institute for Science and Health. The family fun day will feature various games, food from local restaurants, a costume contest, autographs from Bears’ players, and activities.

The event will also feature an amazing silent auction featuring unique memorabilia, trips and experiences. Adrian will be joined by Bears’ teammates for the event.

Admission is free! Kids’ All You Can Play passes may be purchased for $30 and Parents’ All You Can Eat passes may be purchased for $30 in advance. Costume contest entry is $10 for the opportunity to win great prizes. For more information call 314-291-1880.

DETAILS: Adrian Peterson and his wife Angela recently started the Adrian Peterson Foundation at the Institute for Science and Health. The Adrian Peterson Foundation is dedicated to impacting the lives of youth by focusing on programming in the areas of education, speech and language disorders, and Christian values. In 2008, Adrian hosted a free football clinic for more than 300 Chicago youth. The free clinic provided youth the opportunity to work on their football skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork skills, while building self-esteem both on and off the field.

Adrian was drafted by the Bears in the sixth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He is a versatile running back and special teams player who has had 284 rushes for 1,132 yards (4.0 avg.) and eight touchdowns to go along with 70 receptions for 609 yards (8.7 yards per catch) in his first six seasons in Chicago.
