Fever And Katie Douglas To Assist Storm Relief Efforts
INDIANAPOLIS – As a continuing effort of Pacers Sports & Entertainment, the Indiana Pacers and the Indiana Fever to support recent flood and tornado victims in Indiana, Fever forward and two-time WNBA All-Star Katie Douglas will visit an American Red Cross storm shelter on Tuesday, June 17. Douglas is a native of Indianapolis’ south side where flooding has been prominent. Douglas’ message simply is to raise moral and encourage donations to the American Red Cross. She will visit an American Red Cross shelter (site TBD) for recent flood victims where she will sign autographs and encourage the giving of donations to American Red Cross volunteers at the Indiana Fever’s home game on Wednesday, June 18. Pacers Sports & Entertainment recently donated $50,000 to storm relief efforts and will continue to show support to Hoosier families in need. The Fever, 5-3 prior to Sunday’s game with San Antonio, hosts the New York Liberty on Wednesday evening (7:00 p.m.). Led by WNBA All-Stars Tamika Catchings, Douglas and Tammy Sutton-Brown, the Fever bids for its first WNBA Finals appearance after reaching the Eastern Conference Finals in two of the past three seasons. Tickets are available at FeverBasketball.com. |
