WHERE: People Serving People 614 S. Third StreetWHEN: Wednesday, August 13, 2008 - 4:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. INFO: As part of the “33 Days of Augustus,” a comprehensive community outreach plan featuring nearly 40 events and a host of media appearances throughout the 33-day Olympic break, Minnesota Lynx guards Candice Wiggins, Noelle Quinn, Navonda Moore and forwards Nicky Anosike and Charde Houston will serve dinner to families in need at People Serving People in Minneapolis on Wednesday, August 13. People Serving People is a major provider of emergency housing assistance and support services in Hennepin County for children and families. They're mission is to serve homeless children and their families and provide a new opportunity for a healthy, stable family life. People Serving People achieves its mission and goals by providing emergency housing and community services that assist families experiencing homelessness in becoming self-sufficient and reconnected with the community.
